Mission 29: Flea Attack

How were they suppose to find a creature that was a 100 times smaller than they were?

Owen had that question stuck in his head every since he and Juin started their search, unable to handle the fact that even with his keen sight and Juin's sensing skills, they were going to find such a tiny creature. The two had agreed to find information on the flea but all they got was its location which was the woods, something that didn't make Owen quite happy.

Silently grumbling under his breath, Owen paused for a second as he heard footsteps, frowning as he took in the scent.

"Is something the matter, Owen?" he heard Juin ask however he shushed her, giving her a warning to be silent.

Seconds later, a familiar figure stepped into the clearing of the forest.

"Neon," Owen hissed, causing the Warrior of War to look up and smirk.

"It's nice to see a New Breed for once," Neon smirked, "after all, they are such rare creatures."

Glaring at the warrior Owen demanded, "What do you want?"

The smile faded from Neon's lips, "Captain Meloskull ordered me to find this...tiny creature, claiming that though it's funny to see the Mercs find this thing, she doesn't want a running risk of it wondering in the Warrior of Wars mansion."

"Wait a minute, you're looking for the flea as well?" Juin asked, attempting to take a step forward however was stopped by Owen.

Neon nodded and opened his mouth to speak however paused as his violet eyes traced the forest floor, "So that's where you have been."

Puzzled Owen started to speak, "What are you-"

An annoyed expression appeared on Neon's face, "Continue to mock me and you will regret your actions."

Continuing to stare at the warrior in front of him, Owen's eyes went wide as Neon lifted his palm forward and a pillar of flames came between him and Juin. Reaching his hand towards his blade, Owen stopped as his aqua green eyes heard a tiny scream and looked up just in tiem to see a small trail of smoke to fly forth from the pillar of fire.

...So that's where it has been hiding, he thought
